Like Sister, Like Brother

I have enjoyed noticing all of the similarities between Logan and Lia and the latest one is no exception.  Logan LOVES going to bed at night with the book that we have just read to him.  His current favorite is a book that  teaches all of a baby's first words in various categories like animals, food, toys, clothes, etc.  I couldn't resist snapping a picture tonight while he was "reading" this big book in his crib.  And then I remembered that I had taken a very similar one many years ago....

Movin' On Up!

It was officially announced yesterday that Ron is one of the newest principals in his district!  He will be moving back to the middle school level and he is just thrilled about it as this has always been the age group that both Ron and I prefer.  It's been a whirlwind few days as we have never seen an interview process move so quickly.  He found out two weeks ago today that this position would be opening up and learned that he got the job just TEN DAYS LATER!  In that time, the application pool was open for just five days and then there was two, grueling rounds of interviews.  The morning after his second interview, he received the call from Human Resource informing him that he had been chosen for the position and the next day the news was released to the district. The whole thing has been just a little crazy (especially following our move and right before our big trip), but Ron has survived and we are so proud of him!

Baby Working

This little guy just does the cutest thing these days!  This is what I found him doing in our hallway the other day after discovering our vacuum attachment.  He had the greatest time pushing it around (that is until his sister stole it from him).  Argh.

16 Months Old Today!

My little man turned 16 months old today!  It's hard to believe that we are only two months away from his half birthday.  My how the time flies.  Believe it or not, I 'm not sad at all that he is getting farther and farther away from the baby stage because I LOVE how much funner and cuter he gets by the day!  Logan is such a little boy.  He is into everything and loves exploring his new house and yard.  He loves being outdoors and playing in the garage.  He loves playing with all of his papa's tools and watching him use the lawnmower, power drill, weed eater, etc.  Logan loves the swing and the slide on the play set in our backyard and also gets a kick out of putting a basketball in the hoop when he is held up high.  He is a bit slower in the vocabulary development department than his sister and finally added a fifth word to his repertoire.  Besides saying uh oh, papa, mama, and bye bye, he started saying "up" last week.  He is a great eater, still takes two naps on most days, and sleeps well through the night.  If he is fed, rested, and not being tortured by his sister, Logan is one of the happiest, little guys around.  We love you Logan!

Like Father Like Son

Logan is loving the return of the warm weather.  This boys LOVES being outside and LOVES exploring our new yard.  Since the sun came back this past weekend, Ron decided that it was time to tackle the first item on the outdoor to-do list which is reassembling our swing set.  Since this task involves all sorts of tools and drills and wires, Logan was all over it.  For two afternoons straight, Logan followed his papa around like a lost, little lamb.  It was the cutest thing to watch and here are some of the pictures I snapped!

As the title of this post says--like father like son.  Doesn't Logan totally look like a mini-Ron here?  Even the outfit is similar!
