Lia Performs in "Beauty and the Beast"

After deciding months ago to give up her ticket to the Taylor Swift concert so that she could audition for one of her all-time favorite musicals, Lia tried out for Beauty and the Beast at the end of September.  Although she desperately wanted to play the role of Belle, Lia found out a week later that she had been cast as the role of the feather duster, Babette.  Although this was disappointing news, Lia managed to make the most of it and ended up having a great time being in this amazing musical with many of her NWTL friends.  A little over two months later, Lia performed in three shows this past weekend.  Since I was going to miss the two shows on Saturday for the concert, I was able to go and watch her dress rehearsal on Friday night and Ron took the boys to see the second show on Saturday evening.  After driving back from Canada, Ella and I and two of Lia's friends met my mom at the theater and saw the final show on Sunday.  This was one of the best productions that I have ever seen put on by NWTL.  They did such an amazing job performing this classic, Disney musical.  The singing, dancing, and costumes were just incredible.  It truly was a delight from beginning to end.  And, although we missed having Lia with us at the Taylor Swift concert, I am so glad that she made the decision to be in this favorite play of hers!

Lia had so many different friends from school and church come to see her in this show.  Here is the picture I was able to take of her with Rian, Ella, Mollie, and Olivia (one of her good friends from NWTL who wasn't in this show) after Sunday's play.
