In less than an hour, baby Ella will officially be one week old. I am happy to report that we have all survived this first week which is the toughest in my opinion. Since Ron's Spring Break isn't until this week, he has been off work for days and still has many more to come. Lia and Logan are still doing a fabulous job adjusting to this new sibling in the family. Lia is being so kind and gentle with the baby and Logan is either really sweet about "new baby Ella" or is oblivious that she is in the room. After a few nights that were super rough, Ella has slept for a four and five hour stretch the last two nights which has been wonderful. And I am healing slowly, but surely, and am so grateful for the dinners that have come through the door each night. Here's to a second week!

After nights of begging, I finally let Lia get out of bed tonight so that she could watch Ella receive a sponge bath. Lia was so cute watching Ella get all cleaned up and she asked to hold her afterwards. Here are my two girls in their jammies all cuddled up on the couch.

ReplyDeleteI must say, I am TOTALLY impressed you have managed to find the time and energy for so many blog posts in the first week of having a baby! Glad you are are getting fed and have both a mom and a husband around to help - that can make all the difference in the world!
