My adorable boy turned two and a half years old today! It's hard to believe that he is half way through this crazy second year of life. Logan is the cutest thing around, but he sure can be trouble. He epitomizes the Mother Goose nursery rhyme that reads, "And when she was good, she was very, very good, but when she was bad, she was horrid!" Logan can be a sweet, obedient, agreeable little boy, but he can throw a tantrum like no other. In the past month or two, he has thrown some of the most wicked tantrums in public that I know I will never forget! His older sister NEVER did this to me, so I guess it was my turn to experience this part of mothering. Besides the tantrums and crying a lot due to constantly hurting himself, Logan really is a wonderful, little boy. He loves his family--especially his two sisters--and loves life. He has really enjoyed this summer and all of the fun activities we have done outside. From swimming to boating to playing at the beach or running through the sprinklers, Logan loves it all! He also still loves trains and has added tractors, dump trucks, and diggers (we call them "scoopers") to the list. We constantly look for them when we are driving around and get so excited when we see them. Needless to say, Thomas the Train and Bob the Builder are two of his favorite shows to watch on TV right now. Logan still takes a wonderful, three hour nap every day and runs to do so because he loves the time with his special blanket and "ya ya" (his pacifier that I am scared to death to take away from him). He also still loves books and insists that we read to him every day before his nap and before bedtime. Logan's vocabulary has really developed and he now speaks in sentences all the time. He also has really developed a cute sense of humor and makes us laugh almost daily. Logan is a very active, little boy and can be found running around the house, jumping off the couches, or looking for a partner to throw a ball with any time of the day. He is ALL boy and we love him to death!
