Gone Fishin'

For quite some time now, Ron has been talking about his desire to learn how to fish with Logan at his side.  After talking about it and doing some research on the internet, Lia decided that she wanted to get in on this fishing fun and wanted a pole, too.  So Ron set out yesterday morning with Logan to buy three fishing poles and all of the necessary equipment.  He found success at a local sporting goods store--including an actual Star Wars fishing pole for Logan.  They came home so excited that we decided to head out that night after dinner to try fishing for the first time.  It turns out that a park right down the street from us has a legitmate fishing lake (well, it's really an oversized pond if you ask me) that gets stocked a few times each year.  Although the kids did not catch any fish and Ron never got to throw his line in the water because he was so busy helping Lia and Logan, it was really fun to be out on the edge of the lake as a family enjoying this activity together.  Here's to many more evenings like last night!
