After sending Trenton on his way last night, we shifted gears today into Christmas mode. We went out this morning to pick out our Christmas tree from a new lot that we have never shopped at before. The prices were a bit higher than we are used to, but we bought a beautiful, Douglas Fir that will hopefully do a nice a job for us this holiday season. After dinner tonight, we put on the Christmas music and the children and I decorated the tree together while Ron looked on which is normally what happens. I always love to see how excited the kids are to go through their own special, collection of ornaments every year. They love looking at them one at a time and hanging them up on the tree before helping me with the rest of the ornaments in the big box. Ella really did a good job hanging up a lot of ornaments around the bottom of the tree and Logan discovered how fun it is to decorate the backside of the tree since it involves crawling under the tree every time he entered and exited. It was such a fun way to begin the Christmas season of 2017!

Sweet Ella posing for me while hanging an ornament at the bottom of the tree.

Cute Logan decorating the backside of the tree. He spent a lot of the evening back here. It kept on cracking me up!
Ta-dah! The kids showing off the finished product!
