Since we had our school's, Halloween skate night scheduled for Monday evening this year, we decided to gather around the table tonight and carve pumpkins instead of doing it for our annual, FHE activity this year. Thanks to Logan growing two pumpkin plants this Spring/Summer in our garden, we were able to carve pumpkins entirely from our garden with the exception of the cute, little one that Ella got for free on her preschool field trip last week. While we listened to spooky music on Ron's phone, the kids helped scoop out their pumpkin guts before Ron and I carved their pumpkins to their liking. Lia requested a cat, Logan a ghost, and Ella a creepy face. Ron and I then finished off the evening carving our own pumpkins before lighting the candles, turning off the lights, and marveling at our creations while munching on salty, cooked, pumpkin seeds. This is always such a fun, family tradition to participate in every Fall!
