July Family Trip to Priest Lake

We just returned from our July family trip to Priest Lake.  Sadly, since Lia had to miss over a week of work for our trip to the Carolinas, she had to stay home and work.  We missed spending time with her, but were grateful that she was able to earn some more money for college.  With the exception of some wildfire smoke from Canada, we had beautiful weather in the 80s and 90s every day and enjoyed spending time with various members of all three of my brothers' families and my parents during the week that we were there.  Here are some pictures of our days on the lake...

Ella, Logan, and Emmett enjoying the paddleboards during the first morning on the lake.

The kids pose with grandma before she took off on her morning kayak trip.

Emmett, Ella, and Logan making creations with the clay from our beach.

Chris convinced Emmett to try waterskiing the first morning after their family arrived.  Here is Emmett sliding into the water with the help of Callie.  Unfortunately, he only tried two times before giving up.

Ella and Brynn floating on noodles in the water.

Emmett, Logan, Trenton, and Uncle Trip playing on the water mat with Brynn and Ella floating next to them.

The family photo we took this week for grandma to hang on the wall in the cabin.  Sadly, Lia will not be in this year's picture. :-(

The picture I took from the deck one night of the hazy sunset (due to the forest fire smoke) across the lake.

Brynn and Ella talking on the water mat.

The three boys playing in the tube tied to the dock.

All four children making clay creations on the beach.

Grandma did her annual scavenger hunt one afternoon while everyone was there.  Here is the group of boys (consisting of Emmett, Logan, Garrett, and Trenton) reading a clue at the top of the driveway.

The girls (Sarah, Ella, Callie, Brynn, and Sarah's fiance, Jared) reading a clue on the front porch.

All of the grandchildren posing on the deck after the scavenger hunt was finished.

Grandpa was able to convince Logan to try waterskiing again this summer and he ended up really enjoying it.  He got every time he tried and even went out of the wake several times!

Emmett and I enjoying a morning paddle board outing together.

Logan, Garrett, and Trenton enjoyed going on many wild rides on the inner tube with Uncle Chris driving at the helm.

We spent a lovely morning at my favorite Canoe Point beach.  Here are the cousins lined up on the log.

(Brynn is missing because she already left to fly back to Utah while Vivi drove up from Spokane to join us for the weekend)

We celebrated Eric's 52nd birthday on the 25th.  We enjoyed eating a delicious huckleberry cobbler that Rebecca made for his birthday.

Our one family photo (minus Lia) that we had taken during the week on the dock.

Uncle Chris and Uncle Eric throwing Ella off the dock.

Emmett's turn!

We went to Fairy Fern Beach on our last day there and I helped Ella make a darling fairy house on the sand.  Here she is proudly sitting next to the finished product when she was done.
