We've had such a busy December with so much going on that it dawned on me the other day that we hadn't decorated our gingerbread houses yet. After consulting the calendar, I decided that tonight would be the best night to make them which seemed appropriate since today was the first official day of the kids' Winter Break. After dinner, we gathered around the kitchen table to get to work. Like previous years, Lia and Ron worked together on their house and Logan, Ella, and I worked together on our house. I assigned both of the little ones a side and a front of the house to decorate and they both did a great job working together on this joint project. We had a fun time participating in this annual tradition and love how festive our kitchen counter now looks with these gingerbread houses sitting on top. Now, if I could just keep their hungry eyes and foraging fingers off of them for the next few weeks!
