Ella and Emmett singing "Happy Birthday" to Logan in the morning.
Logan (and Emmett) blowing out the candles on his birthday waffles topped with whipped cream, strawberries, and sprinkles.
The Hartland fam enjoying dinner with grandma and grandpa.
Logan anxiously waiting to open his gifts.
Logan chose to open Aunt Blanche's birthday gift first since it was so light. He was stumped all week long by a gift that large that felt like it had nothing in it. I kept on telling him that she had wrapped a feather for him.
Logan opening up his first gift with Ella and Emmett at his side.
A pair of pirate-themed Mickey ears! Aunt Blanche bought this for him when she was in Disneyland last September before we even knew that we were going for midwinter break. It's fun to think that these Mickey ears will be back in the park in less than two weeks!

a remote control truck!
Logan showing off the large Lego set he received from us.
Ella, grandma, and Logan posing under the beautiful, nautical-themed quilt that my mom spent hours and hours quilting for Logan. It truly is a labor of love and will be a family heirloom for Logan's family one day.
Logan smiling before we sang to him for the second time that day.

And Ella showing off her flexibility before Lia put my camera away for the night.
Since we are leaving next week for California, I decided to keep things simple and wait to host his friend party until the weekend after we return. So, we will be celebrated his 10th birthday again in a few weeks with a group of energetic and sweaty boys at Defy Sports in Tacoma. Until then, I just want to say how much I love this boy of mine and his funny, creative, caring ways. He truly thinks outside of the box and is such a helper to me and cares for his little brother in such an endearing way. I am so grateful that he joined our family ten years ago! I can't imagine my life without him!
