Lia and I were able to accompany Logan to the temple for his first time tonight. We met up with Lia's good friend, Alyssa, and her parents after we arrived at the Seattle Temple. This was a huge help as Alyssa's dad was able to walk Logan through the process of getting ready to perform baptisms for the dead for the first time. It was so special to stand by the font to watch both Logan and Lia act as witnesses and perform several baptisms for those who have passed on, including the 15-year old daughter of Omi's sister who died from a heart problem many years ago. I loved seeing my two children standing side-by-side, dressed in white, with their matching, dark brown, hair color. I hope that the three of us can enjoy several more evenings serving together in the temple over the next 2.5 years before Lia flies the nest.
