Emmett's 6th Birthday!

Since Ella's first gymnastics meet of the season fell on Emmett's birthday, I decided a few weeks ago that it would be simplest if we celebrated his entire birthday the following day on Sunday, January 12th.  As a result, we told him that his birthday was actually on Sunday so that he wouldn't feel bad about his sister "stealing" his birthday.  Luckily, the rest of the family went along with my plan and Emmett never figured it out.  Besides sending him to school with treats on the 10th, we did all of our celebrating today.  We started off the day with our traditional, waffle breakfast and finished off the evening by having a birthday party with the grandparents.  Emmett was so excited all day long.  Celebrating the birthday of a 6-year old is so much fun!  Emmett loved everything--the decorations, the cake, the dinner, the gifts.  He had such a great time and we loved being able to celebrate the six years that we have spent with this special boy that brings such life, laughter, and love to our family!  Happy Birthday, Emmy Bems!
