Spring Break has Sprung!

Well, we were supposed to be on a plane right now flying across the big, blue ocean to Hawaii, but instead we are home.  Luckily, we have been blessed with an incredible week of sunny, warm weather with highs in the low 60s.  This change in weather has sure made this change in plans a bit easier.  After we sat down on Saturday night and made a schedule of fun activities to do this week, we started off yesterday afternoon with Ron helping the kids pitch two of our tents in the backyard.  The kids were so excited to set up their beds and spent a chunk of the afternoon playing in them.  Then Ron and the three older children slept in the tents last night.  Today, we headed out on our daily adventure and drove down to the bike trail that runs along the Puyallup River.  We had a great time biking down to the end of the trail and back in the glorious sunshine.  It was so fun to watch the three older kids cruising along on their bikes while Emmett smiled happily from his little seat on the back of Ron's bike.  Although it's no where as fun as being in Hawaii, I am grateful for this family time that we get to spend together this week enjoying the outdoors in the beautiful weather.  It's focusing on these little things that are helping us to pass this time in quarantine...
