The Puyallup Fair!

Well, it's that time of year again when most of our downtown area is shut down for three weeks to host the nation's sixth largest fair. Thanks to our Educators' Passes, we were able to get in for free for a fifth year in a row in order to gorge ourselves on fatty, fair food, throw Lia on a few fun rides, and wander the endless row of barns stocked full of every farm animal under the sun. Even with a little morning rain, good times were had by all. Here is a quick peak at our day at the fair...

Lia and I venturing into the petting zoo.

Lia opting to pet the bunny hair instead of the bunny. Oh dear.
Getting a little braver and petting the goat.

Ron chowing down on one of the many fine, fair foods we consumed that day.

A corn dog and Ron humoring me.

Visiting Lia's favorite fair animal: the massive mama pig and her litter of piglets.

Some quality llama gazing.

Establishing some healthy eating habits: ice cream before lunch.
All aboard for the first ride of the day!

For a second year in a row, Lia's favorite fair moment just had to be riding the 4-wheelers! Look at that face!

Lia got brave enough to declare that she wanted to ride the giant slide with papa. Being the cautious toddler that she is, I couldn't believe my ears! Here they are getting ready at the top.

And down they go.

Getting up from a successful ride.
