Easter Egg Hunting

With our big trip to Mexico looming, the little ones and I still had the chance these past two days to get out and go to some Easter egg hunts.  Logan, Ella, and I have been attending the toddler gym at the YMCA for the past five months after Logan's swim class every Tuesday and Thursday morning.  The kids have loved the chance to run around and be wild for 45 minutes and I love that Ella gets to participate in something with Logan instead of being the one stuck on the sidelines watching.  Yesterday, the Y hosted an Easter egg hunt at the beginning of toddler gym.  The kids brought their Easter baskets and had a great time scrambling to get as many eggs as possible before they all disappeared.  They then played for the rest of the time in the gym.  Today was Logan's official, preschool Easter egg hunt at our favorite Clark's Creek Park in Puyallup.  This was the exact same spot where Lia had her preschool hunt four years ago right before our big trip to Hawaii.  The entire thing felt like deja-vu, but it was fun to have another little sibling to share it with as Logan was home taking his morning nap when Lia participated in it four years ago.  The kids had a great time hunting for eggs in the grass before enjoying a snack in the pavilion and some play time in the park.  Now, it's off to Mexico!

Ella enjoying her favorite fish-themed, seesaw after we first arrived at the YMCA gym yesterday morning.

And they're off!  Logan madly scrambling to get some eggs.

Ella taking a more cautious and casual approach to her egg gathering.

The kids finishing up.

Logan and Ella all finished.

I tried to get a photo with both of them smiling and looking at the camera, but this is the best I got.

A quick, sibling picture while the kids awaited the "go ahead" from the preschool teachers at Clarks Creek park.

Logan finding one of his eggs (each child had 12 eggs with their names written on them).

Logan spotting another one.

My cutie Ella smiling for me.

Logan showing off one of his eggs.

And Ella doing the same.

A rare photo with mom.

Logan going down the slide.

Logan climbing the bars.

My two kiddos at play.

Both kids atop their towers!
