So, the big day was supposed to be today. Lia was supposed to start 5th grade and Logan 1st grade. The first-day-of-school outfits were bought and the school supplies were organized and all ready to go. We even went to the school's open house last night and met the teachers. And then a strike was declared! So, instead of rushing off to school this morning, my kids are still in their jammies hanging out in my bed. Talk about anti-climatic! I don't mind a few extra days off with my kiddos, but I don't want anything to do with a 30-day strike that will totally mess up our summer 2019! So, we shall see what our district has in store for us...
