Daddy Daughter Dance

For the third year in a row, our stake has hosted a daddy daughter dance during the month of February.  And this was the second time that it fell on the same day as Lia's friend birthday party.  So, needless to say, yesterday was a busy day for our newly turned seven-year old.  We just barely finished the party and cleaned up the cake and ice cream and pile of gift bags and tissue paper before it was time to get Lia all dolled up and out the door with her daddy.  The two of them met another daddy-daughter team from our ward (Phil and Isabel) at McDonalds for dinner before heading off to the dance for the rest of the evening.  Ron said that they really had a good time this year and just were able to enjoy each other's company.  They snacked on doughnut holes and chocolate milk and danced the night away.  Lia even made up some of her own dance moves.  I wish that I could have been there to see the whole thing.  Oh well.  I guess that mommy daughter dances are yet to be invented...

My pretty girl all ready to go.

Ron dressed up in his Filipino barong and Lia in one of her finest hand-me-down dresses from my dear friend, Sarah.

Their picture taken at the dance.  So sweet.
