Although Lia only began her soccer season a few weeks ago, her first official game was today. Her team, the Redhawks, had only three soccer practices before this first game, so Ron and I had our reservations about today. However, her team really pulled it together and fought a good fight and actually won 4 to 1. Although Lia is still a bit timid around the soccer ball, she really did a good job getting in their and kicking the ball every time it came her way. Since this was my first time ever sitting on the sideline of a team sport as a parent, I was surprised at how into the game I got. It was really fun yelling and screaming from the sidelines! Here's to many more season of this kind of Saturday fun for Lia and her younger siblings.
