Slumber Party with Trenton

Logan and Trenton have been best of friends ever since I can remember.  The only problem is that they live almost an hour away, so it is difficult at times to get them together.  Half way through their preschool year, Natalee and I realized that we should meet half way in Tacoma each month for a monthly playdate.  We did this faithfully the rest of their preschool year and through their entire preK year.  I brought Ella along every single time and the five of us had the greatest time meeting up at the Children's Museum or the park or the splash pad or the beach.  It really was such a special time for our kiddos to be together.  However, that all came to a screeching halt this school year when Logan and Trenton started all-day Kindergarten.  They now only get to see each other at family functions and during out vacations at the Priest Lake cabin.  As a result, I thought it would be fun to invite Trenton to come home with us after Thanksgiving dinner to spend the night and the following day with us.  He gladly agreed and off we went last night.
Logan just had the funnest time with Trenton.  They had a slumber party in his bedroom and then spent all day together today.  After a waffle breakfast, the kids spent this morning painting and coloring at the kitchen table together before we headed out to play at the awesome, sporting goods store in Tacoma where the children got to meet Santa, play in the amazing, children's area, look at the fish in the aquarium, and then go bowling in the amazing, under-the-sea themed, bowling alley!  We then came home for lunch and some Star Wars movie time, before doing some Christmas crafts and eating dinner.  I didn't leave until almost 8 p.m. to drive Trenton to Tacoma to pass him off to Chris' family.  It sure was a packed and fun-filled day and we loved having Trenton spend it with us!
