Lia's First High School Choir Concert

Lia had her first high school concert tonight.  I was able to leave the three other children at home with Ron and go watch this concert in her high school's performing arts center.  It was such a nice break to be able to sit in a dark theater for over an hour with no one needing my attention or help with anything, and to just listen to four, talented high school choirs sing.  Lia is currently a member of the all-girls, sophomore choir called the Choraliers that she auditioned for this past spring.  Although she hasn't made a nice group of friends like I had hoped she would, I know that being in this choir is an important stepping stone to moving up to the two more advanced choirs at her high school for her junior and senior year.  The Choraliers sang two beautiful songs called "The Rose" and "Does the World Say."  The girls held rose buds for the first song and did a wonderful job.  I can't wait to watch Lia progress in the years to come in her high school choral department and to listen to her sing at many a concerts in the future.
