Logan's 3rd Birthday!

Well, our Logie boy turned three years old today...which means we made it through his terrible twos.  Some days, this boy was an absolute joy...funny, cute, sweet, and absolutely adorable.  But other days could be filled with endless tears, tantrums, and overall naughtiness.  I love my Logan, but part of me is very happy to be moving on to his third year.
We celebrated his big day with grandma and grandpa who drove down from Issy for the celebration.  We ate a nice dinner on the china in the dining room, opened presents next, and then finished off the evening with blowing out the candles on a Lightening McQueen cake that I made earlier today.  Logan was thrilled with everything except for dinner which he didn't end up eating.  At my mother's urging, we decided to just let it go and give the boy a special dispensation on his birthday.  :-)  So he essentially had cake and ice cream for dinner.  Ugh.  But besides that Logan loved his gifts--especially his little toy scoopers and the book of big trucks  AND he couldn't get enough of his birthday cake.  He kept on jumping up on a chair to look at it before his party started.  So cute.  I love you Logan--even when you don't eat you dinner!  Happy Birthday sweet boy!

  1. Impressive cake! I hate to tell you this, but if L is anything like T.... his "terrible twos" will last until he is 4 1/2. But I hope for your sake, that is not the case ;)
