Girl Scout Day Camp

Lia successfully completed her fourth year of Girl Scout Day Camp today in Bonney Lake.  As always, she had such a great time attending this camp for five, full days in a row.  She loves everything about it:  Being with friends, singing songs, completing crafts, learning skills, and following the older, camp-assistants around!  This year was especially exciting for Lia and her friends because they were finally old enough to participate in the archery lessons AND stay late on Thursday night for the pizza dinner and water play.  Although the majority of Lia's good friends from school were placed in another unit, Lia's light blue unit and their dark blue unit combined for most of the activities every day.  So, she got to spend most of her time with all of her friends.  Here is a picture I took of Lia with Sienna, Mollie, and Mollie's little sister, Gabriella, as I dropped them off in the morning for their last day of camp.  I am also including a few pictures I took off of the camp Facebook page.

Lia climbing the rock wall.  She absolutely loves doing this every year!

Up she goes.

Repelling down the wall.

Lia participating in one of the many crafts they completed this week--a pen holder covered in denim.

Lia learning how to start a fire.

Lia learning how to cut an apple with a knife.

Lia absolutely LOVED participating the archery station.  Here she is getting ready to shoot.

She actually hit a bull's eye when the photographer was standing behind her!  Everyone was so excited.

A close-up of Lia's bull's eye.

Lia laughing while eating lunch in the park.
