Lia, Callie, and Vivi eating dinner at the "girls' table."
Grandpa and Natalee joined the other kiddos in the kitchen while the rest of the adults dined in peace in the dining room.
Since Ron fed Logan before we served dinner, he was out of the high chair and on the loose while the rest of us ate. As a result, I kept on finding him in the living room playing with the gifts!
Eric and Rebecca had the brilliant idea of bringing a board game for the older children to play since we really don't have any toys that are age appropriate for them. Before we called the group in for cake, this is how Ron found Logan--literally hanging out with the big kids, watching them play the game as intently as a ten-year old. It was so funny! Look how he propped himself up on Garrett's leg.
Here is the Elmo cake I made for Logan's birthday. I still have the stain on my hands from that darn, red food coloring...
Brynn kindly agreed to hold Logan's cupcake with the lit candle on it while we sang "Happy Birthday" to him.
After placing the cupcake on the tray, Logan carefully touched it at first.
He then got a little braver and tipped it over and tore off a chunk to eat.
And then he REALLY went to town!
The red hand says it all! I would guess that this boy's first experience with cake and frosting was a positive one! Needless to say, Ron had to strip him down and throw him in the bathtub before we moved to gift opening in the living room with creme colored carpet.
Logan getting all cleaned up!
Opening some gifts under Rylie's supervision.
Doing some more of the same under Vivi's supervision. What would we do without all of these older cousins?!
Hooray for some new toys!
We wrapped up the evening by just hanging out in the living room for awhile and playing with some of the gifts. It sure was a great evening!
Again with the awesome cake!! Love it!!
