ONE YEAR OLD TODAY!!

 

I can't believe it!  My baby boy is one year old today!  Once again, this monumental day just snuck up on me.  The good thing is that a 12-month old is still such a baby in so many ways...so I still have my "baby" for a bit longer.  Logan has been up to so many fun things this past month.  He really is a walking machine about half the time.  And when he does walk, it normally is for some "long distances" like from the refrigerator in the kitchen all the the way to our family room.  Plus, he now can walk around corners and change directions and stand up from a sitting position.  Watch out!  Logan also started dancing this past month for the first time while Lia and I were listening to some music.  It was so funny!  He popped his 7th and 8th tooth (on the top), is completely off of baby food (hallelujah!), and took his first sips of whole milk today.  Logan still waves to everyone and has now developed the habit of reaching for everything or just pointing to everything with his entire hand.  It's super cute.  He also LOVES going into Lia's room--it's his favorite place in the entire house.  This is probably due to the fact that there are so many forbidden toys all over the ground.  It sure causes Lia to freak out.  Logan and Lia have also started to really play together this past month.  They have invented a game where they chase each other around the main floor (yes, Lia is crawling, too) and usually end up under the dining room table.  Logan loves this!  They have also discovered the joy of bathing together and have the time of their lives splashing around and making quite a mess.  Logan has also started to communicate a bit with us--he reaches for his drink on the kitchen table whenever he is thirsty while in the high chair.  He also understands "eat eat" and will crawl to the high chair when he hears us say it and he also lifts up his hands whenever I put him down in the crib and say, "You want your comfy cozy?" (his favorite blanket) so that he can touch it once it's laid on top of him.  We sure love our little boy!  Happy Birthday, Logan!
