Logan and Ron headed off bright and early this morning to attend Logan's 6th grade camp at Black Diamond Camp in Auburn. This is a tradition for 6th graders at our elementary school that dates back many years. Sadly, since the pandemic hit during March of Lia's 6th grade year, her 6th grade camp experience was cancelled. As a result, Logan is our first child who was able to attend. Since Ron is the principal of the junior high school where all of the 6th graders will be going in the fall, some of the moms in charge of the camp reached out to me and asked if he would like to go as one of the parent volunteers. Luckily, Ron had a free Saturday and agreed to go, and was assigned to be one of the two parent chaperones for Logan's group. The two of them spent a fun-filled day and were gone for ten hours. They enjoyed taking advantage of all of the amazing amenities that the camp had to offer from rock climbing to the giant, tree swing to blacklight dodgeball to swimming in the pool. Logan had a great time with his group of friends including Kasen, Robby, Bennett, Benton, and Anthony and came home with many stories to tell. I am so glad that he was able to go have this special, end-of-the-school year experience with his close friends and father!
